What the build identifier can and cannot prove
- It lets you notice when the deployed code changes, because it is derived from the source commit.
- It does not prove the server delivered untampered code. A compromised or malicious deployment could display any value.
- For stronger assurance, inspect the network traffic on the verification guide.
